Philip has held numerous roles in his career, including educator, record-setting salesperson, management executive, and CEO of two companies he started. He formed Steffen Associates in 1976 and later founded The Bottom Line Group in 1987, an international consulting firm. He completed his undergraduate studies at Eastern Illinois University, graduating with highest honors, and pursued graduate studies at Southern Illinois University along with further graduate courses at the University of Arizona and the University of Georgia.
