Philip Wang is the co-founder of Wong Fu Productions, an independent digital production company founded in 2003 with University of California, San Diego classmates, Wesley Chan and Ted Fu. Wong Fu has amassed over 3M subscribers around the world with over 500M views for their dramatic shorts and comedy sketches on YouTube. Wong Fu's creative work has been recognized by CNN, NPR, and the White House for its striking quality and emotional depth as well as its authentic representation of Asian Americans.
As pioneers and leaders in the ever-growing space, Wong Fu Productions continues to expand on and off YouTube, with the film “Everything Before Us” released on Netflix, the original YouTube Premium series “Single by 30”, and their web-series “Yappie”.
Outside of filmmaking, Wang is the founder of Bopomofo Cafe, and is also a New York Times Best Selling author with his recent release “RISE: A Pop History of Asian American from the Nineties to Now.”
