Phinehas Yoon is an actor and filmmaker who will next be seen as the lead in "It Ends," which is making its world premiere at SXSW. The film, directed by Alex Ullom, has been named one of Esquire’s 50 most anticipated movies to watch in 2025.
Yoon played Young Sam (young Simu Liu) in the film adaptation of “One True Loves” and Joon in “Smoking Tigers,” which was nominated for Best Film at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival and is now streaming on Max. A Southern Californian native, his acting career began at a young age in television, playing a student in both CBS’s “Bad Teacher” and Nickelodeon’s “100 Things to Do Before High School.”
Yoon is also involved in directing, writing, and acting in his films and has won several worldwide film competitions. At just 17 years old, he earned a top prize at a New York film festival, beating out over 2,000 submissions.
