Quin Snyder

Quin Snyder is the Head Coach of the Atlanta Hawks. On February 26, 2023, Snyder became the 32nd Head Coach in Hawks History.

Prior to the Hawks, Snyder was a Head Coach for the Utah Jazz (2014-2022) and was an Assistant Coach for the Atlanta Hawks (2013-2014), Los Angeles Lakers (2011-2012), and Philadelphia 76ers (2010-2011). Snyder, after eight seasons with the Jazz, had a 372–264 (.585) regular season record. In the 2020-2021 NBA Season, Snyder led the Jazz to a 52-20 regular season record, topping the Western Conference standings. For these efforts, Snyder won back-to-back Western Conference Coach of the Month Awards and was a finalist for the NBA Coach of the Year Award. In the 2011-2012 NBA Season, Snyder, as an Assistant Coach for the Los Angeles Lakers, helped lead the team to a 1st seed in the Western Conference. Before being an NBA Assistant Coach, Snyder was the Head Coach of Austin Toros (NBA D-League). Snyder held a record of 94-56 and led the Toros to the playoffs in three consecutive seasons. Snyder won the D-League Coach of the Year in the 2008-2009 season.

Snyder was born on October 30, 1966, in Mercer Island, Washington. Snyder attended Mercer Island High School and later attended Duke University from 1985-1989. In his four years at Duke, Snyder led the team to three NCAA Final-Fours and was named team captain. In his senior season, Snyder was honored as an Academic All-American. From 1993-1995, Snyder earned an MBA and JD while working as an administrative assistant for the Duke Men’s Basketball team and Coach Mike Krzyzewski. Snyder has four children (Owen, Anika, Tristan, & Wyatt).
