R. Glenn Ray

For thirty years, Dr. R. Glenn Ray has worked with leaders of Bayer, Corning Glass, the US Treasury, the Air Force, the Navy and the Admirals of the Coast Guard, as well as many small businesses and nonprofits to create environments where employees communicate clearly and choose to change.

Glenn was a training manager for BorgWarner Chemicals, GE Plastics and Scott Fetzer. He served for ten years as the director of the Institute of Education and Training for Business in the McDonough Center for Leadership and Business at Marietta College. Glenn has taught leadership and communication courses at Marietta College, Ohio University and Washington State Community College. He also worked as a radio announcer, archaeological research assistant, construction laborer and nine years as an underground coal miner and supervisor.

Glenn is a past president of Leadership Ohio, the National Speakers Association of Ohio and the Ohio Valley Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development. Presently he is a board member of The Economic Roundtable of the Ohio Valley and the Washington County Board of Elections.

Glenn earned his Ph.D. in interpersonal communication focusing on organizational communication from Ohio University in 1988. He is the author of twelve leadership and communication books and has published over 1,000 leadership newspaper columns.
