Rajai Davis

Rajai Davis, a former professional baseball outfielder, had a fruitful career spanning 14 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB). His journey covered various teams, including the Pittsburgh Pirates, San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics, Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, and New York Mets. Davis marked his last MLB appearance on September 29, 2019, for the New York Mets. His career highlights include achieving over 300 stolen bases and being one of the only two active players to record a 30-steal season for three different teams as of 2014. Furthermore, Davis hit for the cycle on July 2, 2016, becoming the sixth player in MLB history to do so in a reverse order.

One of Davis's most memorable plays was a game-tying two-run home run during Game 7 of the 2016 World Series. This play holds significant historical value as it is considered the third-most consequential play in MLB history, according to "Championship Win Probability Added." In 2012, Davis finished second in stolen bases in the MLB with 46. His notable MLB debut involved hitting a walk-off grand slam home run for the Detroit Tigers in 2014, the first of his career and the 28th documented ultimate grand slam in MLB history.

After retirement in 2021, Davis transitioned from being a player to taking on a role in the Baseball Operations department of Major League Baseball. He has been involved in youth sports development and coaching, making appearances at sports clinics and motivational speaking events.
