Rebecca McLaughlin

Rebecca McLaughlin has always found herself captivated by two compelling forces: the potent influence of words and the profound message of the gospel. Her fascination extends to exploring the teachings of Jesus with fellow souls grappling with their imperfections—an endeavor encompassing all of humanity. Beyond this, she holds a deep-seated desire to play a pivotal role in the resurgence of the Christian faith, shaping it into a robust intellectual movement.

In 2019, McLaughlin celebrated a significant milestone with the publication of her debut book, "Confronting Christianity: 12 Hard Questions for the World's Largest Religion," a collaborative effort between Crossway and The Gospel Coalition. The book garnered attention for its inclusion in the TED summer reading list and its distinction as "Book of the Year" by Christianity Today.

Hailing from the United Kingdom, McLaughlin's academic journey led her to attain a Ph.D. in English literature from Cambridge, further enriched by a theology degree from Oak Hill College in London. Her academic pursuits formed the bedrock for her transatlantic voyage in 2008, when she ventured to the United States. Over the ensuing nine years, she became an integral part of The Veritas Forum, serving as VP of Content and diligently identifying, as well as empowering, Christian educators to seamlessly integrate their faith with their vocational undertakings.

A pivotal chapter unfolded in September 2017 when McLaughlin co-founded Vocable Communications. At its core, Vocable is a speech-centric, data-driven communications firm steadfastly committed to aiding leaders in crafting messages that possess the ability to revolutionize perspectives.
