Rebecca Rusch

Rebecca Rusch is known for her multitude of athletic achievements in a broad spectrum of disciplines. She has accumulated national and world titles in whitewater rafting, adventure racing, orienteering, and cross-country skiing, while her prowess on the mountain bike has been a significant aspect of her career. As a seven-time cycling world champion, she has numerous national wins across different off-road formats, record-setting victories at esteemed ultra endurance races like the Leadville Trail 100, Dirty Kanza 200, and 24 Hour MTB World Championships. Additionally, she holds the record on the 142-mile Kokopelli Trail.

In addition to competing, Rusch is also a public speaker who encourages others to push their boundaries and step out of their comfort zones, both in personal and professional realms. Her appearances include platforms such as TEDx, the Rich Roll Podcast, and National Geographic.

Off the track, Rusch is committed to promoting cycling and outdoor activities. She initiated the SRAM Gold Rusch Tour, which travels to races and events across North America promoting women's cycling through skills clinics, social events, and group rides. She also hosts Rusch’s Private Idaho, a challenging gravel road event in her hometown of Ketchum, which sees hundreds of participants each year, with all proceeds going to charity. Furthermore, she offers outdoor adventure programs for adults and is an official ambassador and board member for organizations like the International Mountain Bike Association, World Bicycle Relief, PeopleForBikes.org, the National Interscholastic Mountain Bike Association, and the Wood River Bicycle Coalition.

Despite her busy schedule, Rusch still fulfills her duties as a firefighter and EMT with the Ketchum Fire Department and regularly walks her dog, Diesel. She has authored two books, "Rusch to Glory: Adventure, Risk & Triumph on the Path Less Traveled" and "Navigating Home," and has been featured in the film "Blood Road," documenting her journey on the Ho Chi Minh trail. An Emmy winner, she also maintains an active social media presence and has a newsletter.
