Regina Hartley

Throughout her 25-year UPS career – working in talent acquisition, succession planning, learning and development, employee relations, and communications – Regina Hartley has seen how, given the opportunity, people with passion and purpose will astound you.

Today, Hartley is the Vice President of Human Resources supporting IT and Engineering at UPS Information Services, and makes human connections with employees immersed in technology. She holds a BA in political science from SUNY Binghamton and an MA in corporate and organizational communication from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the HRCI and SHRM-SCP.

Hartley delivered a TED Talk titled "Why the best hire might not have the best resume," where she discusses the value of hiring individuals who have overcome adversity, which she refers to as "scrappers." Her insights focus on the potential of candidates who do not have a traditional or ideal career trajectory, advocating for the benefits of adversity and post-traumatic growth in building resilience and passion in roles. Additionally, Hartley serves as the Chairperson of the Independent College Fund of New Jersey board of trustees, further demonstrating her commitment to supporting education and development.
