Prior to her keynote speaking career, Rene assisted corporations internationally to design and create their own legacies through her work in strategic positioning, planning and marketing. Rene holds a bachelors degree in Business. She is the International Spokesperson for the Pay It Forward Foundation, a member of the National Speakers Association and has served on as Trustee on numerous healthcare and education boards. Rene is the host of her talk radio program LifeTALK. Additionally, she is the recipient of the Woman Entrepreneur Award by the Women's Business Center. Rene is the Founder and Past President of the Northwest Minnesota Women's Fund. She is a sought after guest on radio and television stations across the country and has been featured in numerous magazines including Better Homes and Gardens, Fortune, Smart Money, Parenting, Adoption Today, Female Entrepreneur, Minnesota Women's Business Woman, Quilter's World and many others. She is also a Hospice Volunteer and PTA mom.

Rene is the author of the acclaimed Christmas classic, "Grandy's Quilt...A Gift For All Seasons." Grandy's Quilt is the true heartwarming story of one woman's wish to share an old family heirloom and the gift of a magical friendship found deep in the folds of the old quilt.

When Rene is not out speaking, she is chasing volleyballs, basketballs and golf balls with her three children and husband. She is an avid outdoor enthusiast and when home can be found horseback riding, kayaking or working in her vineyard and gardens. Rene is a keen observer of life and sees every moment as a time to gather material for her keynotes.
