Richard Chambers Biography
Dr Richard Chambers BA (Honours) DPsych (Clinical) is a clinical psychologist, mindfulness consultant and the director of the Melbourne Mindfulness Centre.
Richard specialises in using mindfulness and other effective evidence-based interventions to treat a range of mental health concerns in both young people and adults.
He has been teaching and researching mindfulness for over seven years and his clients include top-tier law firms and premier educational institutions. He currently splits his time between a private consultancy practice and working as a salaried Mindfulness Consultant at Monash University.
Richard is actively involved in research and is currently involved in studies at The University of Melbourne, Orygen Youth Health and Monash University.
He is currently coordinating a multi-site randomised controlled trial of Smiling Mind in 10 schools. He has published a number of peer-reviewed journal articles and has presented at numerous conferences around Australia.
Richard is the co-author of Mindful Learning (Exisle, February 2014).
