Richard Gadd

Richard Gadd is a comedian, actor, and writer, known for his work as the creator and star of the 2024 Netflix drama series "Baby Reindeer," which originated from his one-man dark comedy show based on his personal experience of being stalked. This critically acclaimed series earned him three Primetime Emmy Awards for his multifaceted roles in writing, producing, and acting. Additionally, he received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance, and the show won Best Limited/Anthology Series or TV Movie. The series, which started as an Edinburgh fringe show, not only bagged two Edinburgh Fringe awards but also the Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre.

Beyond "Baby Reindeer," Gadd's other works have also garnered significant recognition. His 2016 Fringe show "Monkey See Monkey Do" won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Comedy Show, demonstrating his knack for humor. His earlier show in 2015, "Waiting for Gaddot," won an Amused Moose Comedy Award and a Scottish Comedy Award for Best Solo Show. Gadd also played Conrad Lennox in the Disney Plus series "Wedding Season" in 2022, further showcasing his acting ability.

Currently, Gadd is working on a new drama for the BBC titled "Lions," promising more of his exceptional storytelling. Gadd has also contributed to Netflix's "Sex Education" as a writer and been featured on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio Scotland. He is an ambassador for the We Are Survivors organization.
