Richard Sherman

Richard Sherman is an American football cornerback who is a free agent. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Sherman has been selected to the Pro Bowl five times and voted All-Pro five times, including being a 4x All-Pro and leading the NFL in interceptions in 2013, the same year he helped the Seahawks clinch their first Super Bowl victory. Sherman is regarded as one of the greatest cornerbacks of all time.

Sherman played college football at Stanford University, where he graduated with a 3.8 GPA. He began his career as a wide receiver before switching to cornerback as a junior. Since entering the league, Sherman has the most interceptions and defended passes of any active player. During his tenure with the Seahawks, Sherman was a key member of the "Legion of Boom," the starting secondary that propelled Seattle to having the best pass defense in the NFL in 2013. This unit played a crucial role in their Super Bowl XLVIII victory, a 43–8 win over the Denver Broncos, marking one of the largest margins of victory in Super Bowl history. The Seahawks returned to the Super Bowl the following season, narrowly losing to the New England Patriots.

In addition to his sports achievements, Sherman was recognized as Seattle’s Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2015 for his extensive community work through his foundation, Blanket Coverage. This honor highlights his commitment to both on-field excellence and off-field contributions. On June 14, 2022, it was announced that Sherman would become a pre-game and postgame analyst for Amazon. In August 2023, Sherman began co-hosting the sports debate show "Undisputed," replacing Shannon Sharpe alongside Skip Bayless, further showcasing his leadership qualities and capacity to motivate audiences on topics such as overcoming adversity and teamwork.
