Richard Socher Biography
Richard Socher is the CEO and Founder of you.com, a new search engine that allows you to control your privacy, your time, and your choice of sources. He also invests in and mentors other startups at AIX Ventures, where he is founder and managing partner.
Previously, Socher served as Chief Scientist at Salesforce where he led the company’s research efforts in artificial intelligence and founded MetaMind, a deep learning AI platform that analyzes, labels and makes predictions on image and text data. MetaMind was acquired by SalesForce in 2016.
Socher also served as adjunct professor at the Stanford Computer Science Department where he obtained his PhD working on deep learning with Chris Manning and Andrew Ng. He won the best Stanford CS PhD thesis award.
