Rita Sodi is a chef and co-owner of Via Carota with Jody Williams. Via Carota is an Italian restaurant in New York City, and in 2019 Sodi and Williams won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: New York City. Sodi is originally from Tuscany, and worked in the fashion and fabric industry. In 2008, she opened I Sodi, a traditional Tuscan restaurant, in New York City. The next year, the New Yorker hailed I Sodi as "Best of New York Eating."
