Rob Roy

Rob Roy is a 26-year veteran of the US Navy, having spent 20 years as an active member of the SEAL teams. During his tenure, Roy served with SEAL Team Six, an anti-terrorism and maritime interdiction team that plays a crucial role in the US Government’s Global War On Terror campaign. His experience extends to touring with several operational units, including the US Army Special Forces, the CIA, and US Customs. He also held a position as a Leading Chief Petty Officer for the Naval Special Warfare Motivators.

In addition to his military experience, Roy has made appearances in “Deadliest Warrior," “Rhino Wars," and “Ultimate Soldier,” and has also lent his voice to the character “Wardog” on PlayStation’s Navy SEAL: SOCOM games. He also wrote the book "The Navy SEAL Art of War," a narrative-driven book for businesses, managers, and entrepreneurs. He leverages his vast knowledge and experience to transform the lives of individuals through training, seminars, speaking engagements, and specialized coaching throughout the nation. He is the founder and CEO of Trident Coaching & Consulting, and his coaching approach is inspired by the principles learned in the US Navy SEALs that emphasize impetus action over reaction and thinking outside-of-the-box, with effective communication of objectives.

Prior to Trident, Roy founded SOT-G in 2005, a company committed to providing effective and efficient solutions that empower clients to operate safely in challenging territories and to develop their leadership potential beyond their imaginations. His coaching methodology incorporates various tools to evaluate the physical and mental acuity of potential businessmen and athletes. These evaluations assess a range of attributes, including on-field skills, speed, strength, quickness, reliability, personality, and cognitive ability. Key assessment tools used include Elite PI and The Birkman Method for mental ability evaluation. Roy's unique blend of real-life field skills and professional and cooperative partnership approach has made him a sought-after figure for his clients.
