Robbie Gould

Robbie Gould, a former professional American football placekicker with 18 seasons under his belt, distinguished himself as one of the most consistent kickers in NFL history. He accrued over 1,000 points throughout his career, playing for the Chicago Bears, New York Giants, and San Francisco 49ers. Gould was the first placekicker in Chicago Bears' history to be selected for the Pro Bowl after leading all kickers with 143 points during the 2006 season. His notable accuracy led him to become the ninth-most accurate placekicker in NFL history.

A graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Business Management, Gould began his football career as a walk-on to the college team in his freshman year. He converted 115 of 121 extra point attempts and 39 of 61 field goal attempts throughout college, earning a scholarship from his sophomore year onwards. He completed his collegiate career ranked 5th on Penn State's all-time scoring list and was also named one of two recipients of the Frank Patrick Memorial Total Commitment Award. This achievement is presented annually to junior class members who consistently excel in all facets of the football program.

Gould's professional journey began when he was signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2005. Despite initial setbacks, including being released by both the Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens, Gould's determination led him to a successful career, most notably with the Chicago Bears from 2005 to 2015, the New York Giants in 2016, and the San Francisco 49ers from 2017 to 2022. He holds the record for the most consecutive field goals in a season for the Bears, and he finished his career as the 10th all-time leading scorer in NFL history. Gould's resilience and precision on the field saw him never miss a field goal or an extra-point attempt in the postseason.

Off the field, Gould is known for his dedication to family and community. In 2011, he founded his public charity, The Goulden Touch, which supports causes in education, health and wellness, medical research, and social service. After his retirement from professional football in December 2023, Gould transitioned into a coaching career. He was hired as the head football coach at Rolling Meadows High School in Illinois in February 2024.
