Robert McKee has spent his entire life in service of story — acting in the theatre since the age of 8, earning advanced degrees in theater and film, performing and directing off-Broadway, screenwriting in Hollywood, writing the screenwriter’s bible, teaching the STORY Seminar to more than 100,000 story artists, and finally bringing story to the captains of industry.

McKee believes story is the structure of our mind — and therefore a preeminent exercise. We had better shape, live, and tell great stories to avoid decadence.
