Robert Triefus is one of the luxury fashion industry’s most seasoned executives. He was appointed Executive Vice President, Brand and Customer Engagement of Gucci in February 2018. Prior to the company’s restructuring, Robert had held the role of Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer since 2012, after originally joining the brand in 2008 as Worldwide Marketing and Communications Director. Robert began his career in the UK as Marketing Manager of The Observer and Today newspapers, before establishing his own integrated communication agency, Timms Triefus Maddick, in 1986. In 1991, his client, The Body Shop International, recruited Robert as Worldwide Communications Manager. The following year, he relocated to New York to assume the role of Vice President of Communications. In 1994, Robert joined Calvin Klein, Inc. as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Communications. In 2000, Robert joined Giorgio Armani to become Executive Vice President of Worldwide Communications before moving on to Gucci.
