Ron Barr

Ron Barr is a veteran journalist and sports broadcaster with an extensive career spanning various media platforms. After beginning his career at the Washington Post, Barr worked as a freelance reporter with ABC Radio Sports before becoming a sports anchor in major cities like Boston and San Francisco. He is known for his play-by-play commentary for NFL and NBA teams and has covered a wide range of sporting events including NBA basketball, NFL football, Major League Baseball, and professional tennis. Barr has also broadcasted 32 Super Bowls and 5 Olympic Games.

In 1988, he launched "Sports Byline USA," America's first national sports talk show, which marked the beginning of the first national radio sports talk network. This show is now broadcast on 200 U.S. radio stations and is available on American Forces Radio Network stations in 177 countries.
