Ron Roenicke was drafted into the MLB 4 different times before finally accepting and signing a contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1977. He played 7 seasons in the MLB for 6 different teams before retiring from the game in 1988. 4 years after retiring, Roenicke joined the Dodgers organization as an assistant coach, and the following season was named manager for the rookie-level Great Falls Dodgers. He moved up his ranks as a manager throughout the minor league systems and even changed organizations to the San Francisco Giants and the Anaheim Angels organizations. In 2010, Roenicke interviewed and was hired to be the manager of the Milwaukee Brewers, where he has remained ever since. As a manager for the Brewers, Roenicke has compiled a 304-265 career record, bringing his career winning percentage to .534. His first season with the team, 2011, was his best, leading the team to 96 wins and finishing 2nd in Manager of the Year voting.
