Ryan Day

Ryan Day is the head coach for the Ohio State University's football team, a position he has held since 2019. He first acted as the head coach for Ohio State for the first three games of the 2018 season, following his tenure as the quarterbacks coach for the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers. His overall coaching record at Ohio State stands at an impressive 70–10, a testament to his strategic acumen and leadership.

Day's tenure at Ohio State has been marked by multiple significant victories, including two Big Ten championships and three Big Ten East Division titles. He led Ohio State to a Rose Bowl victory in 2021 with a final score of 48–45 against Utah. The following year, the team made it to the College Football Playoff, though they were eventually defeated by the National Champion Georgia Bulldogs in a closely contested game with a score of 42–41. Under Day's guidance, Ohio State consistently ranks in the top ten in final AP and Coaches Polls. In 2025, Day led Ohio State to its first national championship win since 2014, defeating Notre Dame 34–23 in the CFP championship game. This victory solidified Day's reputation as a dynamic and effective leader both on and off the field.

Beyond the field, Day has been recognized for his contributions to mental health advocacy. He partnered with the On Our Sleeves movement for mental health awareness and, along with his wife, initiated The Nina and Ryan Day Resilience Fund for Pediatric and Adolescent Mental Wellness with a $100,000 donation.
