Ryan Gavin

Ryan Gavin is the Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Marketplace Growth at Convoy, Inc. In his current role, he is working to transform the $800 billion US trucking industry through a fast-growing Digital Freight Network that is taking significant amounts of waste and inefficiency out of trucking while providing higher earnings for drivers, lower costs for shippers, with higher satisfaction rates amongst both parties. He also serves on the Board of Directors for HeadLight, an industry leader in photo-driven inspection and verification technology.

Prior to his role with Convoy, Ryan was the General Manager of the AI and Machine Learning marketing function at Amazon Web Services. He also formerly led Microsoft’s multibillion-dollar Surface commercial strategy, leading that business to double-digit growth, and also brought the world’s #2 search engine, Bing, to profitability with over 5 billion monthly searches.

Ryan has spearheaded customer-centric marketing practices impacting a portfolio of products and services with 600 million+ customers and with revenues in excess of $3 billion dollars. Ryan has turned brand perceptions around for products in decline with breakthrough marketing creative, enabling non-linear growth through relentless data-driven product and channel optimizations and through clear and compelling product and business strategies.
