Saeju Jeong

As CEO and co-founder of Noom, a consumer-led digital health platform, Saeju Jeong has spent 15 years building a passionate team dedicated to the mission of helping people everywhere live healthier lives. Through a powerful combination of human coaching, psychology, and technology, Noom empowers people to take control of their health and change their behaviors for good.

Coming from a family of doctors in South Korea, Jeong has always had an intense desire to help people. From an early age, he knew his life’s work would be dedicated to improving the wellbeing of as many people as possible. After losing his father at a young age, he became more motivated than ever to truly change lives for the better and to channel his entrepreneurial spirit -- he founded South Korea’s first-ever heavy metal record label -- to make an impact.

After dropping out of college and moving to the US, Jeong met his co-founder Artem Petakov, who shared his vision of helping people live healthier lives, and convinced him to leave Google to develop Noom. Jeong has since led the company through several years of tremendous growth, impacting millions of lives.

Jeong and his leadership have been recognized through multiple prestigious accolades, including EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2020, Harvard Business School’s Entrepreneurial Company of the Year in 2022, Goldman Sachs' Builders and Innovators Award in 2022 and Inc.'s 500 Great Entrepreneurs in 2019. He has been featured in top-tier media including “How I Built This,” “Masters of Scale,” and an eight-page brand interview in Inc. Jeong is a regular attendee at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting at Davos.
