In addition to directing The Center for Learning With Nature, Stier has held faculty appointments teaching bio-inspired design in the engineering college at Texas Tech University and Otis College of Art and Design. He is the author of the most popular engineering textbook on bio-inspired design and award-winning school curricula now used in over 70 countries.
