Sara Jane Ho

Sara Jane Ho is a Chinese educator and the founder of Institute Sarita, a Beijing-based finishing school launched in 2013, with an expansion to Shanghai in 2015. She gained wider recognition as the etiquette expert on the 2022 Netflix series "Mind Your Manners."

Born in Hong Kong, Ho was educated at the Peak School and the German Swiss International School before attending Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire. She pursued her undergraduate studies in English literature at Georgetown University, where she remains an active member of the College Board. She later earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Ho's professional journey began in New York as a mergers & acquisitions analyst at Perella Weinberg Partners. After completing her education at Institut Villa Pierrefeu in Switzerland, she moved to Beijing in 2013 to establish Institute Sarita, followed by the inauguration of a second branch in Shanghai in 2015.

Ho's influence and contributions to business and education have been recognized widely. She was featured on the Forbes 2013 list of "Future Women in the Mix in Asia: 12 to Watch," and was honored in the "Forbes 30 Under 30" in 2015. That same year, she was named one of the BBC 100 Women. Institute Sarita received acclaim from Fast Company magazine, being named one of the "World's Most Innovative 50 Companies" in 2014. Additionally, Ho is a Global Shaper with the World Economic Forum, contributing to discussions and initiatives that shape global, regional, and industry agendas.
