Sarah M. Broom

Sarah M. Broom is an accomplished writer, known for her poignant exploration of home and family in her New York Times bestseller and National Book Award-winning memoir, "The Yellow House." Set in New Orleans East, the book offers a powerful narrative that interweaves personal and historical events, including the effects of Hurricane Katrina. Broom, a native of New Orleans, received her Masters in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004.
