Scoot Henderson Biography
Scoot Henderson is a professional basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA. Prior to his time in the NBA, he was a player for the NBA G League Ignite, where he was selected as a captain for the G League Next Up Game in 2023, and notably became the youngest player in G League history at the tender age of 17. In 2021, Henderson signed a two-year, $1 million contract with the NBA G League Ignite, cementing his place in the league.
Aside from his accomplishments on the court, Henderson has also made his mark off the court. On June 15, 2022, he signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Puma and shortly after, he debuted his first signature shoe, the Puma Scoot Zeros, during the Blazers' media day, becoming the seventh player in NBA history to wear a signature shoe in their debut game. In 2022, he took further steps to establish his brand by applying for trademarks on his name and his motto, "Overly Determined to Dominate".
Henderson's versatility extends beyond basketball and branding. He starred in the movie "Shooting Stars" (2023), portraying the character Romeo Travis. He also launched his own boys' and girls' Amateur Athletic Union programs in 2022, demonstrating his commitment to community and youth development.
