Scott Kinney Biography
Scott Kinney is president of Capella University, a position he’s held since 2012. Prior to joining Capella, he held leadership roles at Thomson Reuters, including president of West Education Group and president of FindLaw. Kinney began his career as a software engineer with two financial services software firms and later joined The Boston Consulting Group, holding managerial positions in Boston, Chicago, and Melbourne, Australia. He joined the online financial services company BigCharts in 1998 as COO/CFO and after its sale to CBS MarketWatch ran the online content and technology business for five years as executive vice president of licensing.
