Scott Salmirs

Scott Salmirs is President and Chief Executive Officer of ABM. Before being named CEO in January 2015, Salmirs held leadership roles in Janitorial and Onsite Services.

Joining ABM in 2003, he quickly became known as a leader focused on providing solutions for his clients. Building the organization to address the changes taking place in facility services, Scott’s Onsite Services Northeast region, the company’s largest, tripled revenues, increased client retention to 96%, and improved profitability by 400%.

Most recently, Salmirs was executive vice president of ABM’s rapidly growing international and aviation businesses.

Before joining ABM, Scott spent over 20 years on the client-side of the facilities business holding leadership positions and managing the building portfolios for CBRE, Goldman Sachs, and Lehman Brothers.

As ABM’s seventh CEO, Scott Salmirs brings a relentless drive for innovation and a spirit of collaboration to the role. He says he joined ABM because he “saw an opportunity to transform an organization and work with talented people who are committed to making a difference in our client’s businesses.”

Originally from Long Island, New York, Scott now resides in Manhattan. Scott is committed to the services industry and his community, serving on several committees and philanthropy boards.

Salmirs holds a bachelor’s degree in Business-Economic from the State University of New York at Oneonta, and an MBA in Finance from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
