Scott and Shayna are Deaf Mountaineers and Educators working to be the first Deaf individuals to reach the 7 highest summits in the world: 'Seeing Beyond project'. They picked up mountaineering skills mostly by studying YouTube videos because of the lack of accessibility in the outdoors. This ignited their passion for making outdoors more accessible for Deaf and HoH youth.
Scott and Shayna are working to inspire a new generation of Deaf and HoH adventurers and change global perceptions of their community. Seeing Beyond is also about bringing education to their community and closing the huge gap in traditional learning that is inaccessible.
