Scottie Scheffler

Scottie Scheffler is a professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and has held the rank of world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking since March 2022. Scheffler has won two major championships, the Masters Tournament in both 2022 and 2024. In addition to his major wins, he has claimed victory in twelve PGA Tour events, three European Tour events, two Korn Ferry Tour events, and two other events, bringing his total professional wins to a notable nineteen. His other notable victories include the 2023 and 2024 Players Championship, making him the first player to win in back-to-back years and the Hero World Challenge in 2023. Additionally, Scheffler won the gold medal in the men's individual tournament at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

After a stellar performance in 2019 on the Korn Ferry Tour, Scheffler was named the Player of the Year and also topped the Finals points list. Continuing this success, he was named the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year in the 2019-20 season. This strong performance continued into the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, during which he was the PGA Tour money list winner and was named the PGA Tour Player of the Year. During his impressive college career, Scheffler attended the University of Texas at Austin and helped the team win three Big 12 championships. He was named the "Phil Mickelson Freshman of the Year" in 2015 and was a member of the U.S. team that won the 2017 Walker Cup.

Scheffler received numerous acknowledgments for his talent, including the Best Golfer ESPY Award in 2023, the Byron Nelson Award for the 2022-23 season, and the Vardon Trophy in 2023. His record includes 18 consecutive top-12 finishes in the 2022-23 season. He has represented the United States in the Ryder Cup in 2021 and 2023, as well as in the Presidents Cup in 2022, achieving excellent results.

Off the course, Scheffler graduated from the University of Texas in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in finance and has invested in the Texas Ranchers, a pickleball team. He was featured in the sports documentary series "Full Swing" on Netflix and continues to participate in various golf-related events and activities. Despite the demands of his career, Scheffler remains grounded in his faith and often shares about this aspect of his life in interviews.
