Shalom Saar

Dr. Shalom Saada Saar, Associate Dean of Executive Education & Samuel N. Friedland Professor of Leadership at Miami Business School & University of Miami, believes that everyone has the capacity to lead. He has dedicated his career to helping leaders identify and cultivate their unique leadership talents. Emphasizing the importance of self-awareness, he developed the highly acclaimed program, "Leading Self and Others," which focuses on self-transformation and leadership, moving beyond his earlier program, "Know Thyself."

Throughout his career as the head of a naval academy, an academic administrator, a VP for executive development, and a consultant to governmental agencies and corporations, he has demonstrated his commitment to coaching and counseling individuals and teams around the world. Having taught at prestigious institutions including Harvard University, MIT, University of Vienna, Loyola University, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB), and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Dr. Saar brings a rich blend of global academic and professional experiences to his current roles.

Dr. Saar is also a prolific author, having published the book "Leading with Conviction: Mastering the Nine Critical Pillars of Integrated Leadership," and is currently working on a forthcoming book that focuses on comparing thinking patterns between Chinese and western executives. His insights on leadership and cultural differences are frequently sought out by CEOs and senior leadership teams, enhancing his reputation as a top leadership speaker. Dr. Saar holds a bachelor's degree in economics and psychology from Swarthmore College and master and doctoral degrees in organizational behavior and administration from Harvard University.
