Shane Madej is an internet personality and co-founder of the digital entertainment company Watcher Entertainment. Prior to Watcher, Madej was widely known for his co-starring role in the YouTube true crime and supernatural series "Buzzfeed Unsolved." The series offered humorous takes on unsolved crimes, hauntings, and historical mysteries.
In 2019, Madej, along with his fellow ex-Buzzfeed employees Ryan Bergara and Stevin Lim, co-founded Watcher. The trio served as co-CEOs until Madej and Bergara stepped down to focus on content creation. Watcher provides a variety of shows spanning cooking, mystery, gaming, and horror and includes its most popular shows, "Mystery Files" and "Ghost Files," which are successors to the "Unsolved" series.
Additionally, Madej is the creator of the web series "Puppet History," which consists of Madej starring as The Professor, where he quizzes Bergara and a special guest on historical events and people.
