Shawnti Jackson Biography
Shawnti Jackson is a record-breaking American track and field athlete. Jackson set the national high school record and tied the No. 1 world time for 18-year-olds in the 100-meter dash at the Music City Track Carnival. Her wind-legal time of 10.89 seconds earned her a lot of recognition.
At the N.C. High School Athletic Association 2A state championships, Jackson won state titles in the 100, 200, and 400. She is ranked top three nationally in all three events.
During the indoor season, Jackson ran the fastest high school time in United States history in the 60-meter dash and the 300-meter dash. At the 2023 Millrose Games, she ran the 60 in 7.16 seconds, then ran the 300 in 36.63 seconds at the 2023 Virginia Showcase.
When she's not running track, Jackson has spent a lot of time volunteering in her community. She has worked with the Special Olympics and Habitat for Humanity, in addition to serving as a camp counselor at a creative learning daycare and pre-K. At church, she has served as a youth mentor, and she has worked local food drives and volunteered as a youth track coach.
