Shemeka Brathwaite

Shemeka Brathwaite, MSEd, speaker, trainer, coach and career alignment expert is on a mission to empower professionals around the world to live intentionally, work purposefully and maximize their value. She has equipped thousands through her signature ACED IT Strategies for Success and earned a reputation for achieving extraordinary results. Her credibility is a product of 10 years working in the fashion industry, non-profit and higher education marketplace.

Shemeka’s high energy messages stems from her background as a spoken word performing artist where she previously performed at the famous Nyurorican Poets Café, The Afrikan Poetry Theater, and in the choreopoem stage play “The Poets’ Testimony”. Her award winning poem “Virtuous Woman” is published in the anthology entitled Our Stories, Ourselves: The EmBODYment of Women's Literacy.

Shemeka earned a master’s degree in Adult Education and Human Resource Development from Fordham University with a specialization in workforce development and was certified in coaching from New York University.

As a leader and community activist, Shemeka currently serves as Director of Public Relations for the Brooklyn Club of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc. Previously; she served as the Judges Chair for the Miss Brooklyn Scholarship Program, an affiliate of the Miss America Organization. Her professional associations also include involved membership in the National Career Development Association, Toastmasters International and the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Incorporated.
