Shlomo Ben-Ami

Shlomo Ben-Ami is a distinguished diplomat and politician, recognized for his tenure as the Israeli Foreign Minister and Minister of Public Security. His pivotal participation in the Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations, including the Camp David and Taba talks in 2000 and 2001, showcases his deep engagement with international diplomacy. Currently, Ben-Ami is the Vice President of the Toledo International Centre for Peace (TICpax), where he continues to advocate for conflict resolution and dialogue.

In addition to his political contributions, Ben-Ami is a notable historian and author, having led the Graduate School of History at Tel Aviv University from 1982 until 1986 and later holding The Elias Sourasky Chair for Spanish and Latin American Studies.
