Sofia Vergara

Sofía Vergara, a Colombian-American actress and television personality, is best recognized for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the ABC sitcom "Modern Family," which ran for 11 seasons. For her performance in the series, Vergara garnered five Primetime Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations. She was also the highest-paid TV actress for seven straight years in the 2010s.

Her role as Griselda Blanco in the miniseries "Griselda" in 2024 made her the first Latina born in a Latin American country nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. She also earned a Golden Globe nomination for the performance.

Since 2020, Vergara has been a judge on the television talent show "America's Got Talent. Additionally, she has appeared in films such as "Chasing Papi", "Four Brothers", and Tyler Perry's comedies "Meet the Browns" and "Madea Goes to Jail." Her voice-over roles in animated films like "Happy Feet Two," "Escape from Planet Earth," "The Emoji Movie," and "Despicable Me 4" also mark her versatile acting career.

In addition to her acting career, Vergara is an accomplished businesswoman and brand ambassador. She cofounded talent management and production company Latin World Entertainment in 1994, launched clothing and fragrance lines with Kmart in 2011 and, in 2023, launched a skincare and makeup line with Cantabria Labs. In 2024, she launched ¡Dios Mío! Coffee, a fair-trade coffee company selling beans that is devoted to elevating female Colombian growers.

Vergara has been named one of People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People and one of the most influential Latin women in Hollywood by The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard. In 2015, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
