Solome Tibebu

Solome Tibebu is founder and CEO of Behavioral Health Tech, the largest community dedicated to advancing access to mental health and substance use services. She works with healthcare organizations, funds, foundations and startups who want to advance access to behavioral health through technology and innovation.

Previously, Tibebu was founding director of The Upswing Fund for Adolescent Mental Health, a philanthropic fund seeded by Melinda Gates' Pivotal Ventures. Through The Upswing Fund, Tibebu and her team funded over 100 community based-organizations and nonprofits nationwide focused on supporting the mental health of LGBTQ+ teens and adolescents of color.

Tibebu founded and ran the mental health tech start-up Cognific and, as a former anxious teen, founded and ran the nonprofit AnxietyInTeens.org for ten years. Today, Tibebu also leads a philanthropic fund focused on adolescent mental health, and she is a board director or advisor to various adolescent and adult mental health organizations and for-profit companies. She is an Aspen Health fellow and Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute senior fellow.

Tibebu is the founder and host of the Going Digital: Behavioral Health Tech summit, the largest virtual conference focused on expanding access to mental health and substance use services through technology and innovation. She is also the co-author of "ReThink Behavioral Health Innovation," the source for digital behavioral health technology and startups. Her work as an investor, entrepreneur, nonprofit consultant and behavioral health technology expert has been featured as a Harvard Business Review case study; in a TEDx Talk; and online and in print media, such as Huffington Post, Forbes, Inc., Upworthy and Psychology Today.
