Stephanie Danler is a writer based in Brooklyn, New York. Danler is the author of the international bestseller "Sweetbitter," as well as "Stray," a memoir of growing up in a family shattered by lies and addiction, and of Danler's attempts to find a life beyond the limits of her past. "Stray" is a moving, sometimes devastating, brilliantly written and ultimately inspiring exploration of the landscapes of damage and survival.
Danler is also the creator, writer and executive producer of the "Sweetbitter" television series on STARZ. She splits her time between New York City and Los Angeles, and is at work on a book of non-fiction. She holds an MFA in creative writing from the New School.
