Steve Mesler

Steve Mesler is a three-time Olympian in bobsled, having helped Team USA win its first gold medal in the four-man event in 62 years in 2010.

He was appointed to the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee board of directors and began serving as an Athletes' Advisory Council representative in March 2015.

Mesler is the co-founder, president and CEO of Classroom Champions, an international education organization which connects Olympians, Paralympians and hopefuls with students to mentor and help motivate, educate and inspire youth and transform classrooms in high-need schools. Founded in 2009, the organization earned international recognition in 2013, when it was awarded the Fair Play Diploma by the International Fair Play Committee.

Through his work at Classroom Champions, Mesler has been named a finalist for the International Champion for Peace award and was also named one of Sports Illustrated's “Athletes Who Care” in 2014.

Formerly, Mesler served as principal of Shift210 consulting group, in which he works with multi-national corporations to increase employee development, leadership abilities, team performance and community engagement. He is also a noted motivational speaker and has previous experience as a TV host and sports commentator.

Mesler earned his bachelor’s degree with honors in exercise sciences and education from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He currently resides in Calgary, Alberta, with his wife, Rhiannon.
