Steven Bartlett

Steven Bartlett, the youngest-ever cast member on BBC's "Dragons' Den," has expanded his reach beyond television to become a prominent figure in the investment and digital technologies space. In addition to his role on "Dragons' Den," where entrepreneurs pitch business ideas to five multimillionaires, Bartlett is also the host of "The Diary of a CEO," Europe's No.1 podcast. His journey as an entrepreneur started with co-founding Social Chain Group, a company that organizes social campaigns for global brands. The company, which he built from his bedroom in Manchester at age 22, went public in 2019 with a market evaluation exceeding €200m. Bartlett's entrepreneurial spirit also led him to co-found Flight Story, a marketing and communications company, and thirdweb, a software platform backed by Shopify and Coinbase, that facilitates the building of web3 applications.

Born in Botswana and raised in Plymouth, England, Bartlett has exhibited a knack for business and innovation. He dropped out of university at 18 to start his career, and his investments now span fields like blockchain technologies, biotech, space, Web 3, and consumer technology. His notable investments include Huel and Zoe, along with previous investments in companies like The Healing Company, atai Life Sciences, Alto Neuroscience, and AbCellera. Additionally, Bartlett launched his own private equity fund, Flight Fund, to accelerate European unicorns, focusing on sectors such as health and wellness, and educational projects in disadvantaged schools and communities. His contributions have placed him on the Powerlist for his influential contributions in the UK.

Throughout his career, Bartlett has garnered many accolades, including being named "Entrepreneur Rising Star" at the Black British Business Awards, inducted into Manchester’s Hall of Fame by the Mayor of Greater Manchester, and named the "Most Influential Industry Figure" by Econsultancy. He also made the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Media and Marketing. Apart from these accomplishments, Bartlett has also made his mark as a bestselling author. His book, "The Diary Of A CEO: The 33 Laws for Business & Life," has been a Sunday Times Number 1 bestseller and translated into 35 languages. He has appeared as a speaker more than 400 times, sharing his knowledge and insights at prominent platforms including the United Nations, SXSW, and Ted Talk. Moreover, Bartlett is committed to inspiring entrepreneurs and creators from a BAME background and has collaborated with His Majesty’s Prison Service to distribute his podcast via their in-cell technology to educate and inspire young adults.
