Steven Brill

Steven Brill is not only a distinguished author but also a journalist, media entrepreneur, and professor at Yale University. He authored "Class Warfare: Inside the Fight to Fix America's Schools," a vital account of the state of American education. His articles have been featured in esteemed publications such as The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, and TIME. Brill's ventures extend beyond writing; he founded The American Lawyer magazine, cable channel Court TV, Brill's Content, a media watchdog publication, and most recently Press+, a company dedicated to modernizing news publishing.

Brill's investigation of education in America is presented in his book, "Class Warfare." The book examines the crucial role of quality teachers and the contributions of charter schools in shaping the future of American education. Additionally, Brill authored "Tailspin: The People and Forces Behind America's Fifty-Year Fall – and Those Fighting to Reverse It," a best-selling book that paints a vivid picture of America's decline in various areas and profiles those working to mend the damage. Brill's journalistic pursuits also led to the creation of "America's Most Admired Law Breaker," a 15-part serial documentary scrutinizing Johnson & Johnson's illegal marketing practices. He combined his media expertise and entrepreneurial spirit to co-found NewsGuard, a company that assesses the reliability of more than 7,500 U.S. websites to combat fake news.
