Steven Pan

Steven Pan is the Chairman of Formosa International Hotels Corporation based in Taiwan, which owns Regent Hotels & Resorts. He is also the President of Pacific Resources Group, a diversified global real estate holding company.

Steven joined Formosa International Hotels Corporation in 1991 and became President in 1992. In 2000, Steven led a management buyout of the controlling stake in the group and became Chairman. Since then, the Corporation has become the largest and most profitable hotel company in Taiwan.

The Formosa International Hotels Corporation’s flagship, the Regent hotel in Taipei, has consistently been ranked the leading hotel in Taipei and one of top 20 hotels in Asia. In 2010, the Corporation acquired the Regent luxury hotel business with Regent brand and hotel management contracts worldwide. Steven serves as Chairman and CEO of Regent Hotels and Resorts.

Steven also founded Pacific Resources Group in San Francisco in 1994, by acquiring the Chevron headquarters building. The Group completed many landmark transactions in San Francisco, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. The 2004 sale of Pacific Place in San Francisco was the largest real estate transaction in 5 years and was awarded the real estate deal of the year. The Group is still active in California and Asia.

Prior to joining Formosa hotels Steven was an Associate of First Boston since obtaining his MBA from Columbia Business School in 1988. He received a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1986.
