Subir Chowdhury

Subir Chowdhury is recognized as one of the “50 Most Influential Management Thinkers in the World” by Thinkers50. He has been instrumental in advancing the Quality movement globally through his innovative ideas, methodologies, and dedication. Acclaimed by The New York Times as a “leading quality expert” and by Business Week as “The Quality Prophet,” Chowdhury has authored over a dozen books. His notable works include international bestsellers "The Ice Cream Maker" and "The Power of Six Sigma." His latest book, "The Difference," became a National Bestseller in the USA and India. His publications, translated into more than twenty languages, have sold over a million copies worldwide.

As the Chairman and CEO of ASI Consulting Group, LLC, Chowdhury has propelled the firm to the forefront of quality consulting and training, influencing numerous organizations globally. His leadership has benefited sectors ranging from manufacturing to healthcare, including prominent clients like General Motors, Ford, Hyundai Motor Company, and Procter & Gamble. Chowdhury obtained his undergraduate degree in aeronautical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and his graduate degree in industrial management from Central Michigan University. Honored with distinguished alumnus awards from both institutions and an honorary doctorate of engineering from Michigan Technological University, he continues to inspire academic and professional communities. Residing in Los Angeles, California, Chowdhury is also a passionate collector of both Indian and Western art, featuring works by notable artists such as Rabindranath Tagore and Claude Monet.
