Suraj Sharma

Suraj Sharma began his acting career with a strong start in the 2012 film "Life of Pi," directed by Ang Lee, a performance that led to a nomination for the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2013. He continued to diversify his portfolio by portraying Aayan Ibrahim in the fourth season of Showtime's series "Homeland" in 2014, and co-starring with Jon Hamm in the film "Million Dollar Arm." Sharma's early recognition included the Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor in 2012 and the MTV Movie & TV Award for Most Frightened Performance in 2013.

From 2018 to 2020, Sharma played a lead role as Rakesh Singh in the CBS comedy-drama series "God Friended Me," demonstrating his versatility in both dramatic and comedic roles. In 2019, he appeared in the film "Happy Death Day 2U" and later starred in the film "The Illegal," a project that advocated for South Asian representation in Hollywood. His performance in "The Illegal" was awarded Best Actor at the 2021 Yellowstone International Film Festival.

Sharma continued to expand his reach into the television scene in 2022 by starring in the Hulu series "How I Met Your Father." His performance in Anushka Sharma's production "Phillauri" and his role in the comedy-drama "Burn Your Maps" further demonstrated his acting range. His role in "Gulmohar" earned him the 2023 Filmfare OTT Awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Web Original Film.
