Susan Greenfield

Susan Greenfield is a British scientist, author, and broadcaster with a significant background in brain research. She has held research fellowships at the Department of Physiology Oxford, the College de France in Paris, and NYU Medical Center in New York. With a career focused on the neurophysiological processes underlying neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, she leads a multi-disciplinary team at Neuro-Bio Ltd, a biotech company she co-founded, which is dedicated to developing innovative approaches to these disorders.

Greenfield is also a member of the House of Lords and a Senior Research Fellow at Lincoln College, Oxford. Her extensive publishing record includes a wide array of books exploring the complexities of the Mind and the Brain. Throughout her career, Greenfield has been recognized with numerous honors including 31 Honorary Degrees from both British and foreign universities. Her accolades include the Michael Faraday Medal from the Royal Society, a CBE in the Millennium New Year’s Honours List, and a non-political Life Peerage in 2001.

Currently, Greenfield is active as a keynote speaker, addressing audiences across various sectors such as finance, technology, human resources, media, and education. Her keynote topics often cover "The future of the mind," "Consciousness," "The neuroscience of creativity," "Science, policy, and politics," "Dementia: current and future prospects," and "How the brain works." Additionally, she has shared her insights globally, including a TEDx Talk on "Technology & the human mind." Her notable public engagements also include introducing her parents to Her Majesty the Queen during her tenure as Director of the Royal Institution.
