Susan Kelechi Watson is an actress best known for her work on the television shows "Louie" and "This Is Us."
Watson had a recurring role on the television show "Louie" from 2012 through 2014. She has also had recurring roles on other television series including "NCIS," "The Following," and "The Blacklist." In 2005, she appeared in a play at the American Airlines Theatre in New York City written by playwright Richard Greenberg titled "A Naked Girl on the Appian Way." Since 2016, she has starred in the NBC drama series "This Is Us" as Beth Pearson, a role that brought her widespread recognition.
She obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Howard University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program. Watson's educational background in fine arts has significantly contributed to her versatile acting skills, noticeable in both her theatrical and television performances.
