Susie Gharib

Award-winning journalist Susie Gharib is a Senior Special Correspondent for Fortune, where she conducts a series of video interviews with some of the world's top CEOs and business leaders for Fortune.com, covering news topics as well as leadership lessons. Gharib also contributes to "Nightly Business Report" and has earned recognition as a leading business journalist and the award-winning Co-Anchor of the show.

Previously, Gharib spent 16 years as the Co-Anchor of "Nightly Business Report", the longest-running business news public television program. Her career, spanning more than two decades, began at Fortune magazine. Gharib has also worked with prestigious organizations such as CNBC, NBC, ESPN, WABC-TV/New York, and she was a reporter at Newsweek, Associated Press, and the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Gharib is known for her no-nonsense interview style, engaging with corporate America's leading CEOs. Her notable interviews include figures such as Microsoft's Bill Gates and ExxonMobil's Rex Tillerson, among others. Gharib has also been welcomed into the White House to interview Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. She has received numerous awards, including the Elliot V. Bell Award from the New York Financial Writers’ Association in 2013 for her significant contribution to financial journalism and a "Front Page Award" from the Newswoman's Club of New York in 2002 for her post-Enron and Worldcom scandal panel discussion with high-profile CEOs.

Gharib holds a magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa degree from Case Western Reserve University and a master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Case Western Reserve University, the Board of Advisors of Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, and is a trustee of the Economic Club of New York. Additionally, she is a member of the Foreign Policy Association and the New York Financial Writers Association. Gharib's extensive experience and roles in various prestigious organizations highlight her deep engagement with both the business and academic communities.
