Sylvia Boorstein, Ph.D., is a co-founding teacher (with Jack Kornfield) at Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, California, and a senior teacher at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Massachusetts. She is the bestselling author of five books, the most recent being, Happiness Is an Inside Job: Practicing for a Joyful Life. As a psychotherapist and Buddhist, she is a frequent presenter at psychology seminars and meditation retreats throughout the country. A practicing Jew, she speaks at many interfaith events and offers meditation training for Jewish clergy. Sylvia Boorstein and her husband, Seymour, divide their time between Marin and Sonoma Counties in California.
